Hi! I’m Alix
A self-taught cook, self-proclaimed foodie, accidental world traveler, recipe creator, video producer, YouTuber, podcaster, digital creator, and overall professional mess-maker. Basically, I do a little bit of everything, and I love making a mess—welcome to my kitchen (and life)!
let’s chat!
About Me
You might know me from my time at BuzzFeed Tasty, where I was the loud girl in the apron cooking up wild creations, sharing chaotic kitchen wins (and disasters), and laughing way too much on YouTube. Since hanging up my Tasty apron (don’t worry, I still visit now and then), I’ve been sharing my journey on YouTube, Instagram, my podcast, and now, here—my very own website! (I know, so fancy.)
Yes, I’m still loud. Yes, I still laugh too much. And yes, I’m still figuring it all out as I go.

My Journey
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, obsessed with food but never imagining I’d make a career out of it. I moved to LA for college, studied Health & Human Sciences (the closest I could get to food, LOL), and started a food blog on the side because why not? That little blog led me to Stockholm, Sweden, where I launched a second blog focused on travel and food (RIP to both blogs). While living in Sweden, I got my first real taste of the food world as a part-time food stylist. It didn’t pay much, but I loved it.
That gig eventually brought me back to LA to work at Tasty, where my food career really took off. It’s been a wild, winding road to get here, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

let's get
saucy!

Why I Do What I Do
Food has always been my therapy—my constant. There’s something magical about the way a warm slice of banana bread or a comforting home-cooked meal can make everything feel okay. Beyond the taste, food connects us. It’s what brought you here, after all.
Now, I get to connect with you through recipes, vlogs, podcasts, and way-too-casual Instagram stories where I overshare my life. Whether I’m cooking, singing, writing, or just laughing at myself, my goal is to share the joy (and mess) with all of you.
Let’s Get Messy
Life isn’t supposed to be perfect. It’s messy, chaotic, silly, and so, so fun—just like cooking. I believe in embracing all the messiness, one delicious meal at a time. So, come hang out in my little virtual kitchen, grab a plate, and let’s make something magical together.
PS: I’m still figuring this whole “life” thing out, but one thing I know for sure is that connecting with you—through food, laughter, and maybe a little karaoke—makes it all worth it.
ILY,
Alix
